A book donation to your

School Library.

North Union Elementary School Library

The NUES BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB is a voluntary “book

adoption” program that provides family members the

opportunity to become personally involved in the

growth and enrichment of our school library collection

while celebrating and honoring their child’s birthday.

How does it work?

Children and their families are invited to one of

six BBC parties during the year. Watch for your

invitation near your birth month.

A minimum donation of $10 is required for the

purchase of a new library book that will

enhance our current collection and provide

learning opportunities to all NUES students.

During the after-school party, participating

children select a brand-new library book of their

choice and are the first to check it out and take

it home to READ.

A bookplate with the child’s name and birth

date will be placed in the front of the book.

Students select a new bookmark and enjoy

treats and a drink.

Children are photographed with their BBC book

selection to display in the library showcase.

Donors receive a receipt for tax records and a

great big THANK YOU for a gift that will truly

keep on giving.

ALL parties are held in the NUES School Library from

3:00 – 3:30.

Thank you for your consideration of participation in

the NUES BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB. Please fill out the

form on the back of this brochure if you would like

to get started now; you do not need to wait until

your child’s birth month. We will keep your

registration information on file. Checks are made

payable to North Union Elementary School.
