He is Chief Medical Officer of Ashford Institute of Hematology & Oncology since 1995 with privileges as attending/consultant at the Medicine Department of the Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital since then. He recently served as the Medical representative on the Board of Directors of Gurabo Community Health Care Center which administers three ambulatory community centers at Gurabo, San Lorenzo and Trujillo Alto. Dr Morales Borges has a broad experience of basic & clinical research as well as healthcare administrative issues, palliative/supportive care, and education of medical students and physicians. He served as investigator and collaborator at clinical trials in Stem Cell Cryopreservation and Dengue Follow-Up Study in Blood Donors with ARC and in Hematology/Oncology/HIV studies in his private practice. Raul Morales is Medical Director of the American Red Cross (ARC) in San Juan, P.R. since December 2010 where he oversees donor and patient safety issues related to blood collection and transfusion.
