In fact Biosigma promotes its own products by specialised international magazines.Further it attends every year Medica Exhibition in Düsseldorf (Germany), AACC in the US and several other interna-tional exhibitions hold in different continentsThe reason is not only to find new customers/suppliers but overall to consolidate already existing relation with them.In fact Biosigma staff is trained to have a continuous and immediate feeling with its customers.

STRUCTUREFrom September 2001 Biosigma has established its head office in a new building of 8.700 sqm all covered ( 7.500 sqm of production area + 1.200 sqm of offices ).Biosigma produces its range of products by injection and blow moulding machines. All the machines are working on a full automatic process and are served by robots so operators have only to provide to the final packaging and quality control.Much importance is done to the information system; in fact Biosigma has a state-of-the-art data processing system with around 50 PC and Notebook for office automation.All the PC are connected through a LAN network and communicate each other through a service of transmission of electronic messages and electronic mail. All the PC are connected to 6 Servers.

CryoGen® Tubes CLEARLine®Increase productivity with the CryoGen™ vials, workstations and storage boxes.The Biosigma CryoGen™ vial system is designed for cryogenic storage of biological specimens at temperatures as low as -196 °C. This innovative high-purity line features outstanding leak resistance with a rubber o-ring molded into the screw-cap. Vials are manufactured in accoradance with the quality guidelines ISO 13485:2004 and ISO 14644 and 14698 (Federal Standard 209) in a Class 7 cleanroom (Class 10,000). These vials are certified to be DNA, DNase, RNase, pyrogen and ATP free.* Each lot is sterilized by beta radiation.** Small-lot packaging provides superior sterility and usage control. Each vial and outer case packaging indicates an expiration date and each shipment is accompanied by a *Certificate of Quality. Independent quality-control audits are performed for sterility assurance. *Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Quality availabe upon request.**Beta radiation sterilization performed in accordance with EN ISO 11137.

CERTIFY That ClearLine® products are completely free of :• human DNA • DNase • RNase • Pyrogens • ATPThe control and the certification is done by an external laboratory.•The absence of human DNA is verify with a PCR assay which is able to find the presence of human DNA with a sen-sibility of 1 pg. •The absence of DNase and RNase enzymes is verified incubating on the products, reaction swabs containing DNA and/or RNA at a temperature of 37°C. The absence of degradation is after verified by electrophoresis on gel.•To certify the absence of Pyrogens, the LAL Test is used. •The presence of ATP is verified with a bioluminescence method exploiting the reaction between the luciferase enzyme and its luciferin substrate and and the adenosin-tri-phosphate molecule (ATP).Biosigma S.r.l. Features:Boxes in polycarbonate for CryoGen® Tubes storage. Different models are available to accommodate either 25, 81 or 100 Cryovial® tubes from 1.2 ml to 5 ml. These durable cryogenic storage boxes are designed to be used at temperatures between -196 °C and +121 °C and are autoclavable at 120 °C, for 20 minutes. A transparent cover with a serigraphed numbering allows the user to see the contents of the box, and is keyed to the base to prevent misalignment. 25 and 81 places have a colored grid (Picture 1) that can be jointed with the bottom (Picture 2). Grids and lids have a double 45° edge (Picure 3) to make closure easier. 100- place boxes have special divider (Picture 4) that allow to maximize the pace. 3 colors available: Light blue, Red and Greed.

Microtubes with screw capA complete range of 6 different models supplied in various combinations.Models are classified on volume’s base “ 0,5 - 1,5 - 2 ml” and they are divided in CONICAL or SKIRTED. Their main characteristic is the presence of external edges allowing them to fit to the various types of racks. Every model can be assembled with 3 different type of caps: 1) NORMAL; 2) WITH CAP INSERT ADAPTOR; 3) With cap insert adaptor + COLLAR. Each cap can be supplied WITH or WITHOUT O-RING. Both caps and cap inserts are supplied in 6 DIFFERENT Colors. Our microtubes withstand high speed centrifugation up to 25.000g and temperatures from -80 °C to + 121 °C. Autoclavable to 121 °C

The advantage of employing Fast-Read 102® is the ease in determinating the cells per µl in the spe-cimenThe samples prepared by other methods typically contain various elements, which are often extreme-ly difficult to determine for the presence of epithelial cells.With the use of the M-T System you get a smaller number of epithelial cells present in each field, re-ducing thus the possibility of overlap with other cells, this system, which ensures a result more accu-rate and precise, facilitate to the technicians the determination of the presence of cellular elements.After examining, under a microscope, the area of Fast-Read 102® with a lower magnification, it will pass to an higher magnification to analyze each cellular element accordingly .

How to count the cellsAfter microscope reading, to quantify cells on the small grid ( 1 mm x 1 mm, volume 0,1 μl ). For no. of cells/UL computation, it must observ example here below where it has been counted 3 cells in 1 mm² of grid:

no. cells/µ.= ___________________________________________ x 10 ( Vol. to obtain 1µ) = 3 cells/µl3 (number of cells counted) 10 (concentration factor)

Concentration factor = 10 :Because we are reading concentrated urine from 10 ml to 1 ml

VOLUME = 10 :Because the grid has dimension 1 mm x 1 mm, depth 0.1 mm and the internal volume to this grid is 0.1 μl

It’s very important matter during urine sedimentation count, that operators always use the same sample preparation method in order to have tests’ repeatibility. Furthermore, with traditional urine reading system actually in use in many laboratories, sedimentation compaction creates a superimposition of epithelial cells. That cause difficulties in verifying the presence amount of different cells components. 1) Place BAP074 tests tubes, contai-ning urine to be analysed, into express rack BSL130 and then centrifuge.

2) Insert tribulb M-T Microtips BSV143 making sure to trap the tubes

3) Overturn the rack to come out the supernatant

BSV143M-T Microtips®: a special calibration and design that allows you to block 1 ml of urine sediment on the bottom tube. With this pipette you’ll be able to standardize the urinary sediment in 1ml, creating the right proportion between 10 ml of urine collected in a tube and 1ml of urine sediment that remains stuck in the bottom of the tube.
