BIOS/ Senior BIOS Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for developing, customizing, debugging and sustaining BIOS code based on

legacy-BIOS and EFI/ UEFI BIOS

· Development and debugging of BIOS and UEFI BIOS for a range of latest generation Kontron

hardware platforms

· Develop customized system BIOS according to customer requirements

· Assisting hardware design engineers in the bring-up and debugging of Kontron new board

products

· Work closely with other design group on product design / development in order to obtain

optimum system performance

· Follow the design rule as stated in the design development procedure to ensure the BIOS's

maintainability & reusability.

· Responsible for preparation of BIOS engineering documents.

· Maintain, upgrade and customized design as requested.

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

· Strong C/ C++/ assembly coding skill, analytical and debugging skills

· Familiar with x86 architecture, PC BIOS architecture, and variety of embedded tools, operating

systems and bus protocols.

· Experience in legacy System BIOS cores and/or experience with EFI/ UEFI cores

· Familiar with VBIOS will be an added advantage.

· Familiar with SoC bootloader and BSP development will be an added advantage.

· Familiar with real-time operating system (RTOS) will be an added advantage.

· Produce quality BIOS engineering documentation.
