What is protein
PROTEINS ARE STRUCTURAL MATERIALS IN MUCH OF THE ANIMAL BODY (E.G. MUSCLES, SKIN, AND HAIR). THEY ALSO FORM THE ENZYMES THAT CONTROL CHEMICAL REACTIONS THROUGHOUT THE BODY. EACH PROTEIN MOLECULE IS COMPOSED OF AMINO ACIDS, WHICH ARE CHARACTERIZED BY INCLUSION OF NITROGEN AND SOMETIMES SCULPTURE (THESE COMPONENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DISTINCTIVE SMELL OF BURNING PROTEIN, SUCH AS THE KERATIN IN HAIR). THE BODY REQUIRES AMINO ACIDS TO PRODUCE NEW PROTEINS (PROTEIN RETENTION) AND TO REPLACE DAMAGED PROTEINS (MAINTENANCE). AS THERE IS NO PROTEIN OR AMINO ACID STORAGE PROVISION, AMINO ACIDS MUST BE PRESENT IN THE DIET. EXCESS AMINO ACIDS ARE DISCARDED, TYPICALLY IN THE URINE. FOR ALL ANIMALS, SOME AMINO ACIDS ARE ESSENTIAL (AN ANIMAL CANNOT PRODUCE THEM INTERNALLY) AND SOME ARE NON-ESSENTIAL (THE ANIMAL CAN PRODUCE THEM FROM OTHER NITROGEN-CONTAINING COMPOUNDS).

what is nutritionNutrition is the selection of foods and preparation of foods, and their ingestion to be assimilated by the body. By practicing a healthy diet, many of the known health issues can be avoided. The diet of an organism is what it eats, which is largely determined by the perceived palatability of foods.Dietitians are health professionals who specialize in human nutrition, meal planning, economics, and preparation. They are trained to provide safe, evidence-based dietary advice and management to individuals (in health and disease), as well as to institutions. Clinical nutritionists are health professionals who focus more specifically on the role of nutrition in chronic disease, including possible prevention or remediation by addressing nutritional deficiencies before resorting to drugs. Government regulation of the use of this professional title is less universal than for "dietician."
What is human food and diet
Food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support for
the body. The right to food is a human right derived from the.
Human consumption may refer to: Anthropophagy (disambiguation),
the consumption of humans Consumer (food chain), consumption of
other organisms by humans.
A food chain is a linear sequence of links in a food web starting from
species that are called producers in the web and ends at species.

protein
Protein are large molecules made up from chains of amino acids. Each amino acid contains the elements carbon, hydrogen ,oxygen and nitrogen. Some amino acid also contain sulphur. Most amino acids can be made by our cells but some must come from our food. The amino acid which cannot be made by our bodies are called essential amino acid. Animal products like meat have more essential amino acid than plant products.
SUMMARY
protein are used for growth and repair of cells. they cannot be stored.
Too much energy-rich food makes us overweight and this can also cause heart disease.
Too much Fat in the diet leads to heart disease.
through the gut. Fibred helps the muscle contractions that move food Fats give twice as much energy as carbohydrates.
Fats and carbohydrates can be stored in the body.
A balanced diet contains all the nutrients in the amounts needed by the body.
QUESTIONS
1) EXPLAIN WHY ALL DIETS MUST CONTAIN SOME PROTEIN
2) WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ESSENTIAL AND NON- ESSENTIAL AMINO ACID?
ANS:
ANS:
Protein is needed for your growth and to repair your cells( to make new cell ).
Amino Acid are chains of molecules of protein. This amino acid can be made by our cells but the amino acid that our cells can't make are called Essential Amino Acid.
