Hard work is something Justin Hancock is readily familiar with. Originally from Victoria, BritishColumbia, he began working at age 13 as a deckhand on his father’s commercial fishing vessel.While the dangerous work was grueling, the pay was lucrative, and Justin was able to put 50percent of his salary away in mutual funds as a foundation for his retirement savings. That interestin investing remained with Justin throughout his life, although it would take a few more yearsbefore he turned his career in this direction.

In 2000, his talents as a golfer earned him a scholarship at the University of Montevallo. Hemanaged to earn his place on the Dean's List, while achieving the school’s most valued playeraward in 2001 and 2003. His ability to maintain good sportsmanship, athletic success, and highacademic achievement won him the Jim Golden Memorial Golf award in 2002. He was also amember of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. By carrying a full course load and attending summerschool, Justin graduated in just three years with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

After graduation, Justin moved to Florida where he became territory manager for an orthopedicequipment supplier in St. Petersburg. But his fascination with the financial world eventuallyinspired him to join a major brokerage firm in 2012. A quick study, Justin soon displayed hisfinancial acumen and brought in $2.2 million in new assets in just twelve months, earning highreviews from his employer in the process.

Eager to enhance his professional services to his clients and provide them with objective,independent guidance, Justin made the move to DMG Financial in early 2014. Now, as anindependent financial advisor, he has the flexibility to offer clients a much wider range of productsand solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and goals. Justin has earned his series 7 license, and heis licensed to sell life, health and variable annuity products.

Justin is a member of the Young Professionals of Daytona Beach for which he serves on the boardas an Athletic Chair. He is also a member of the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce(VHCC).

Justin married his college sweetheart, Mandy, in 2007, and they have a five-year-old daughter,Everly. Mandy runs a bridal business in Daytona Beach.
