Biography Marcus “Ammo” Osborne, an independent artist from Newport News, VA, is one of few rappers that describe himself as free, honest and anxious to get genuine messages through to anyone with a set of speakers. After taking a keen interest in writing, rapping and compiling mix tape projects in 2004, Ammo was well on his way to a now strong discography with over a dozen unreleased projects waiting to be heard. Since 2008, he has released four mix tapes: Certified Block: Most Hated Edition”, Unfinished Bizness”, “Last Man Standingand his latest, “Example One ”. In 2011, Ammo earned a slight bump into the mainstream after being featured on Get It In ”, a song on the soundtrack of “Saint’s Row 3”, a popular video game. No stranger to hustling, Ammo, a member of Block Huggaz, grew his fan base pre- social networking by hosting and performing at venues locally and nationally. He later moved units of his mix tapes via social media and the traditional way, hand- to-hand. Known for creating witty, lyrical content to reflect how he feels about the current state of the streets, everyday life or just having fun, Ammo brings an upbeat sound to songs like “Crank It ” and “Everybody Talking ”, which garnered airplay with 103 JAMZ, Hampton Roads’ local hip hop radio station. With the purpose of unleashing the truth and daring anyone listening to not rap along and bounce to the beats, Ammo’s mission to “talk to people” through music makes him “realize why I’m here and why I still keep going”. Marcus “Ammo” Osborne, an independent artist from Newport News, VA, is one of few rappers that describe himself as free, honest and anxious to get genuine messages through to anyone with a set of speakers.
