Biogas Purification Solutions Babcock & Wilcox MEGTEC (B&W MEGTEC) offers biogas purification equipment for removal of particulate, H 2 S, CO 2 , H 2 O and siloxanes from your digester, wastewater treatment, landfill or other biogas stream. B&W MEGTEC’s skid-mounted systems include a high- pressure, packed bed, chemical-free water scrubber and air stripper for removal of CO 2 and H 2 S with minimal methane loss. The system can achieve up to 98% methane content. To reduce water usage, the wash water system is regenerative, as opposed to a single-pass system. Moisture removal is accomplished via twin column regenerating desiccant chambers. To minimize energy usage, heat from the system can be recovered and reused through a closed loop, glycol heat coil system. Siloxane removal is accomplished by a vertical activated carbon vessel (if required). Systems include 316 stainless steel knockout pots and flash drum with demister pads for raw gas moisture removal. Gas compression is achieved with a two-stage, twin rotary screw compressor constructed from 304 stainless steel. Fresh water metering and circulation pumps are constructed of stainless steel to prevent corrosion. All system components are factory assembled and tested to the fullest extent possible to reduce field installation and start-up time. Should treatment of the tail gas be required, B&W MEGTEC can also provide a flameless, regenerative oxidizer. General system layout

B&W MEGTEC’s skid-mounted systems include a high-
