ARTIST and ART Emanuele Neri, Italian painter, was born in Cremona in 1965 and moves in childhood to Turin, where he lives today. He moves his first steps in the world of the arts when fifteen, studying the techniques of drawing and oil painting. After some times he abandons the figurative arts to concentrate more on music, studying classic organ and, after, the guitar. His artistic road is enriched, furthermore, of a training as actor of theatre, at the school of Gianni Costa, in Turin, followed by many performances as street theatre actor with a storyteller group of artists. A significant return to the figurative arts take place in 2005 where Emanuele experiments new techniques and explores avant-garde themes and improves his education with new courses. But is only in the last times that come to life his current artistic expression and he develops a monochromatic painting, strongly realist and introspective. The drawing is neat, accurate and precise. The technique is based on the use of simple tools and an accurate use of the only color, the black which is distributed around the parts in light. Preferring the natural light offered by the white paper, Emanuele develops strong contrasts creating an original painting with strong impact. His artworks have always a deep introspective and intense characterization that show clear emotions. Emanuele’s artworks are shown in many exhibitions and are permanently resident in Italian galleries.

REPORTS “The black and white paintings by Emanuele Neri are the expression of a world made of lights and shadows, finely etched using artistic techniques mixed with oil pastel and charcoal. The contrast is the harmonic rule of Neri: a shadow cannot exist without a body of light. Exists the truth, the reality, the living, what is seen and shown without hesitations. The life is pulsation in a provocative and intriguing; the artist steals from reality a single moment and transforms it in a perfect union between thoughts and movements.
