BIM EP (3rd Edition)Coming to AGC San Diego JUNE 19-22, 2017

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is changing the way projects are constructed. Whether you are a prime contractor using BIM across an entire project or a subcontractor impacted by a specific BIM implementation, this emerging practice requires new mindsets and technological know-how in order to achieve significant improvements in efficiency and cost control.

AGC’s BIM Education Program — developed in conjunction with leading BIM practitioners, technology firms and educators—is designed to prepare construction professionals at all experience levels to successfully implement BIM on a construction project.

Unit 1 - An Introduction to Building Information Modeling (3rd Edition)

AGC’s Unit 1: An Introduction to Building Information Modeling is a full-day course that provides a comprehensive overview of BIM practices and terminology while introducing important concepts necessary to understand how BIM is changing the construction process.

Unit 2 - BIM Technology (3rd Edition)

Unit 2: BIM Technology is a full-day course designed to provide a neutral introduction to BIM tools. Throughout the course, tools are introduced as they relate to the functions they perform, as well as particular phases in a project where they have the strongest capabilities. By understanding these differences, it is possible for each attendee to determine what questions need to be asked prior to making an investment in technology.

Unit 3 - BIM Project Execution Planning (3rd Edition)

Unit 3: BIM Project Execution Planning is a full-day course that examines BIM and contract terminology to determine best practices for integrating BIM use into project execution planning. Core project execution planning activities are discussed and practiced to help participants become BIM champions within their organizations.

Unit 4 - BIM Adoption, Implementation, and ROI (3rd Edition)

Unit 4: BIM Adoption, Implementation, and ROI is a full-day course that provides a foundation for participants to establish and execute the BIM process, facilitate its adoption, and achieve integration on a single project and at a company level to execute multiple BIM projects simultaneously. These tools will help establish participants as BIM champions within their organizations.

The highly interactive program provides 32-hours of instruction and training to get construction industry professionals at all levels ready to take advantage of the benefits of BIM. After participants complete all four courses in the program they become eligible to sit for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management - Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM).
