GENERAL NOTES

Situation Billington Farm has superb national road access and lies only 4 miles from junction 13 Stafford South M6. From the centre of Stafford pick up the A518 signposted Newport and Gnosall. Continue over the main railway line and out on the A518 passing under the M6 main motorway. Billington Farm lies on the right directly adjacent to the A518 after only ¾ of a mile. From Newport pick up the A518 signposted Stafford and travel through Gnosall and Haughton. After leaving Haughton travel approximately 2 miles and up the bank at Billington with Billington Farm adjoining the A518 on the left before the M6 Bridge.

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

FOREWORD

The sale at Billington Farm arises as a result of John and Helen Busby giving up their active arable enterprise to now concentrate on their fruit production business. Many locals will know that the Busby family have been supplying major retailers with fruit for many years which obviously entails a large amount of management time and expertise. The decision has been made to give up the contract farmed land near Stafford which has been all arable based and this brings about the dispersal of the main items of machinery. Several years ago, the milking herd was dispersed from Billington Farm and there are a large array of feed barriers, troughs and livestock tied items including foot crush etc. which are included in the sale for genuine dispersal as they are no longer required on the farm. There are a large range of John Deere items within the sale including the combine which has undertaken under 750 work hours. In addition, there are various included items from local vendors and purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this large and varied sale.
