MANAGEMENT 3

Quality on timeWe fabricate insulation components for thermal, facade and cold insula-tion and also for soundproofing and fire protection – covering all aspects from the calculation of the dimensions to the finished encasement – at our workshops and have our own experts assemble it at your construction site. In this connection, we work solely with high-quality insulation materials with made-to-measure encasement sys-tems and guaranteed quality, reliability and punctuality. Hitch-free production and delivery processes, high quality and reliability during assembly activ-ities at the construction site and ser-vice, repairs and maintenance form key aspects of our corporate culture.

Willingness to performInsulation is the simplest and most ef-fective way of lowering energy costs and simultaneously making a sustaina-ble contribution to minimising environ-mental impact. The necessary invest-ments are recouped quickly. Our local engineers and experts are available to assist you at any time and will be pleased to advise you competently. Re-gardless of whether large-scale activi-ties, bespoke fabrication, the construc-tion of a new plant or restoration of an existing one are involved, our qualified employees will execute your projects with a high degree of dedication, help-ing you to save time, money and energy.

Customer proximityNo-one wants to waste energy. Yet, this is precisely what happens in the case of inadequate insulation. CLIMATE PROTECTION / SAVINGS POTENTIAL 54 CLIMATE PROTECTION / SAVINGS POTENTIAL

EFFICIENCYSustained systems for insulating equipment pay off quickly particularly in the process industry and the energy production industry. In the case of energy-in-tensive processes involving very high or very low tem-peratures, the cost of technical insulation is frequently recouped within one year and sometimes even in the space of a few months.

If the industrial facilities in the 27 countries of the Euro-pean Union all had the right insulation, it would be pos-sible to achieve savings equalling the energy consump-tion of more than ten million households, equivalent to the aggregate output of 15 500-MW coal-fuelled power stations.

We will be pleased to advise you on the execution of your project. By offering the right insulation structure for your technical requirements, we help you to lower your energy consumption and, hence, also your oper-ating costs.

ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE

Climate change, increasingly more expensive resources, energy effi ciency and reduced CO2 emissions are on the agenda of every modern industrial company.

FACTS

• Energy resources are becoming scarce, causing prices to rise.

• CO2 emissions are to be reduced by 20% across the EU by 2020.

• Modern insulation of process facilities harbours enormous potential for reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. This is active environmental protection.

SAVINGS POTENTIAL These days no company can afford to waste precious energy by skimping on insulation. This entails overhaul-ing legacy plants and structuring new investments ex-pertly.

In this connection, the necessary insulation thickness is one of the decisive parameters. We calculate the most effi cient thickness of the insulation for your plant and assemble it at minimum expense in order to reduce the expense caused by lost heat as far as possible.

Effi cient insulation can also achieve a maximum reduc-tion in CO2 emissions. The annual potential for cutting CO2 emissions is equivalent to the output of 18 million compact-class cars travelling 12,500 km a year. This shows that insulation is a very good way of saving a lot of money and simultaneously reducing the impact on the environment.

SEEING THINGS EYE TO EYE WITH THE CUSTOMERMore than 1,000 employees based around Germany work for Bilfi n-ger OKI Isoliertechnik GmbH. We train insulation specialists at near-ly all of our sites. This gives us a solid mixture of experienced site managers and assemblers as well as young people eager to learn the arts of their trade.

We handle the entire prefabrication of the metal sheeting at our cen-tral workshops, producing and supplying it on a “just-in-time” basis and handling the adjustments directly on site.

As well as this, we operate small workshops at the site, allowing us to implement adjustments with minimum delay.

THERMAL INSULATION 9

Insulation reduces the loss of heat and lowers the risk of possible burn injuries. What is more, good thermal insula-tion contributes to a healthy interior climate, thus improving working and living conditions.

Depending on the specifi c requirements, different types of insulation materials are used. To this end, we provide cus-tomised encasement structures which we fabricate in our own workshops from steel and aluminium of differing quali-ties and with differing surface structures. The encasement sheeting must be able to withstand interior temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius. That’s why experience in insu-lation technology is so important. We will be happy to advise you and let you benefi t from all the knowledge that we have gained from the numerous simple and complex systems that we have installed around the world.

THERMAL INSULATION SERVICES:

• Insulation for industrial, household and marine equip-ment

• Boilers, fi lters, piping, equipment and plant components
