teilEsel A Social, Free and Fun Bike-Sharing System

Let’s transform old broken bicycles into cool urban vehicles for everyone!

Share bicycles for free, to get from A to B in the city spontaneously… by Bike!

What is teilEsel?

•teilEsel is a excellent example of shareconomy and puts hope on every single user.

•The careful use of the bikes and the dedication of its users is important.

•As the offering is for free, the project needs a lot of helping hands to repair and maintain the teilEsel-bikes.

What Bikes are used for sharing? We use a resource, that is sufficiently available: Unused bicycles, which many people store in their basements and sheds.

The concept is easy. Old bicycles become a second chance and will be available for public use.

The teilEsel community checks these bicycles and paints them completely yellow, so they are recognizable for everyone as “teilEsel”.

How can I borrow a teilEsel? There is no need for a registration! You just need our free App and start the ride.

In our Apps, every user can find the location of the teilEsel-bikes on a map.

You can pick the one you need in your neighborhood, get the code to unlock the key and get on the bike.

Have fun!!

How can I return a teilEsel?

At the end of the ride, you place the bike on the street, lock it and take a picture of the locked bike.

Any malfunctions of the teilEsel-bike can be reported and the teilEsel-team will take care of its repair - or you help us and repair it for yourself.
