• 1 in 3 of people will develop cancer sometime during their lifetime and 1 in 4 people in the UK will die from the disease.

• Today, and every day, 410 people will die from cancer in the UK

• About a quarter of all terminally ill UK cancer patients die at home. Marie Curie Cancer Care cares for half of them.

With the funds raised through the adoption Marie Curie Cancer Care would be able to fund a Marie Curie Clinical Specialist Nurse for one year.

£27,000 would pay for a Marie Curie Clinical Specialist Nurse for one year.

Providing a Marie Curie Nurse in a patient’s home for one hour costs £20 approx.
