Statutory Norms By CPCB 1. Twin chamber concept.

2. Temperatures :

– Primary 850 ± 50o C,

– Post combustion Chamber 1050 – 1200 o C.

3. Gas Residence time :

– Post combustion chamber – min 2 seconds.

4. TOC of slag / ash less than 3% OR LOI of less than 5% of dry wt. of material.

5. Emission standards set by CPCB :

– Particulates 50 mg/NM3 ,

– HCl 50 mg/NM3

– NO2 400 mg/NM3

– SO2 200 mg/NM3

– TOC 20 mg/NM3

– CO 100 mg/NM3

– HF 4 mg/NM3

– Dioxins / Furans 0.1 Ng /NM3 .


HW Management / Incineration


Gas Cleaning System

Spray Driers followed by Venturi and Cyclone followed by

Three Stage scrubbing system :

• Lime

• Activated Carbon

• Caustic solution

Trapping of fine particulate matter and neutralization of acidic fumes are done here. Carry-over moisture is removed from flue gasses by cyclonic type droplet separator and demister. Ceramic rings are used for packing.
