    V. OBJECTIVES:

    - To assist fish producers in finding good market (local & abroad) for their products;

    - To continuously develop strategies for effective and efficient fisheries market assistance.

    VI. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

    Fishery Industry Development Support Division (FIDSD) has come up with component services, one of

    which is Fisheries Promotion and Marketing Assistance through the conduct of Market-Matching events.Services will be provided to diverse market audience and establish linkages with different agencies and

    institutions.

    The project will be in coordination with other BFAR-Regional Offices.

    VII. METHODOLOGY OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

    Market-matching will be conducted to assist fish producers in finding good market for their products.

    This implies the need for globally competitive products.

    Meeting of producers and buyers will be through market-matching forum and workshops. Participantswill bring products that need to be market for actual presentation. The events will highlight the signing of

    Memorandum of Agreement between the producers and buyers.

    Attendance/Participation to various Congress (Tuna, Shrimp, Seaweeds, Bangus, etc.) is necessary to

    update status of different fish and fishery products that is needed by the industry.
