1. General
BezaKTIV S dyes are reactive dyes with a multifunctional reactive group and their particular advantage is their very good reproducibility. Due to their multireactive group they are less sensitive to variations of the application parameters such as liquor ratio, temperature, electrolyte, alkali and time.
2. dissolving the dyes
BezaKTIV S dyes are dissolved by pouring them into soft, pH-neutral 60 C 80 Cwarm stirred water. Hot and concentrated dye solutions should not be left unattend-ed for a long period of time. urea does improve the solubility of BezaKTIV S dyes, but should not be added to the dyeing liquor at temperatures above 50 C.Information about the solubility of the BezaKTIV S dyes is to be found in the pattern card.
3. Addition of Electrolyte
electrolytes increase the substantivity of BezaKTIV S dyes and hence improve the bath exhaustion. Common salt may reduce the dyestuffs' solubility. Therefore, we recommend for BezaKTIV Blue S-Fr 150 and in the case of phthalocyanine dyestuffs such as Turquoise S-BF, to use glauber's salt as a rule.
4. dyeing Procedure
Due to the double reactive group of the BezaKTIV S dyes, exhaustion temperature should be 60 C. BezaKTIV Yellow S-8g, BezaKTIV Blue S-Fr 150 and BezaKTIV Turquoise S-BF have a higher dye yield at a temperature of 80 C. Because of the dyeing profile of the BezaKTIV S dyes, they can be combined with the BezaKTIV V dyes.
BezaKTIV S dyes are suitable for continuous or semicontinuous processes. The diagrams below provide information on the commonly used dyeing processes.

5.4 CoMBI dos process
The COMBI DOS process is an optimized dosing system, which considers the char-acteristics of the BezaKTIV S dyes. Because of salt and alkaline dosing in the same time, process security as well as reproducibility will be much better, especially when dyeing pale or medium shades. When using COMBI DOS, heavy dyeable fabrics, modified cellulosic fibres or critical shades can be dyed with more process safety.exhaustion and fixation are almost simultaneously. Fixation follows approximately20 minutes after exhaustion, which does still enable the migration on the fibre.
The use of COMBI DOS is also possible when dyeing dark shades. In this case it is recommended to add 50 % of the required salt in the beginning, because of the higher amount of electrolyte.Dyeing process for itself has to be followed as usual, like the common 60 C iso-thermal process. Because of no electrolyte in the liquor, dyes have much better conditions for migration comparing to the standard processes.after the migration, the dosage has to be started at 60 C. Proper dosing system is required to ensure the dosing process. The required amounts of salt and alkaline has to be taken out from the calculating tables for BezaKTIV S dyes, as usual.

1. Allgemeines
