WELCOME, VISITORS! We are delighted to have you worship with us today. We invite you to participate as fully in our worship service as you feel comfortable. Bethany Church offers a full range of study and fellowship opportunities for children, youth, young adults, and older adults. Sunday school, in session from 9:45-10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning, features several different classes for adults, one class for youth, three classes for children, and a nursery. We invite you to come back to Bethany and get to know us better! For more information please visit www.bethanyumc-gp.org.

OUR NURSERY — For the convenience of parents with small children, a nursery is provided during both worship services, as well as during the Sunday school hour. GiveGloucester on GivingTuesday: November 29, 2016

Please save the date! On November 29th, celebrate the national day of giving back with a donation to a local charity. Go online to the secure site, GiveGloucester.org, and choose a local charity. Thank You!

Appeal from The Samaritan Group

On GivingTuesday, The Samaritan Group hopes to raise $10,000 in order to help 20 more Gloucester families experiencing financial emergencies due to a variety of circumstances. Most often help is needed with rent or power and heating bills. So far in 2016, The Samaritan Group has helped 150 Gloucester families who do not receive any other assistance to stay safely in their homes. • The number of applications for help has grown and funds are needed in order to assist more families. The Samaritan Group respectfully asks that you support this mission with a donation on GivingTuesday. Thank You!

ALTAR FLOWERS are given for the glory of God and in memory of William J. Hargis, Jr. by Marcia M. Hargis.

February 2, 1989 – William J Hargis, Jr.

“The time shall come when I shall see sun no more Save through the eyes of my beloved

Who may remember how I saw the sky and what I said in doing so Or my beloved children in whom I may have nurtured love of nature”

In memory of my beloved husband and their beloved father. Marcia Hargis

HOMEBOUND MINISTRIES – Join us on Monday, November 14 at 9:30 AM as we meet to cook and deliver meals to our shut-ins. You will be blessed by this time of ministry and fellowship.

CORRECTION – Aaron and Natalie Chapin were wed on Friday, October 14 in Las Vegas. We apologize for our error in listing the wrong date in our previous congratulatory announcements.

A HUGE THANKS to The Shackelford Family for organizing, advertising and orchestrating a new Family Ministries event at Bethany UMC! They worked tirelessly on making our First Annual "Halloween Trunk or Treat" a sweet success. There were games, candy, popcorn, eleven creatively decorated trunks filled with candy, warm drinks, about 75 visitors, more candy and laughter....even some wonderfully witchy laughter! • Thanks also to Kirk Bell for all his effort and know how, to everyone that donated treats and especially to those that tricked out their trunks! Our community outreach was strong and everyone's smiles were very bright!
