Day 3 ~ Travel to MontecatiniBreakfast at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a tour of Rome You’ll easily get a textbook glimpse at Rome, from the famous ancient ruins to the Basilica of St. Peter (a place that has more artistic styles represented in it than some museums). Then travel to Montecatini and check into the first-class Hotel Royal Palace (or similar) for a leisurely 11-night stay. Enjoy a Welcome Drink and Welcome Dinner with live entertainment to celebrate your arrival in Tuscany.

Day 4 ~ Montecatini Sightseeing TourBreakfast at the hotel. Today you will enjoy an orientation sightseeing tour of Montecatini. Well known for its springs, which have excellent curative powers, Montecatini is half-way between Florence and Pisa. The baths and spas date back to the fourteenth century and nowadays there are nine fully-functioning ‘terme’ spread around the town. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the delightful funicular railway that will take you up to Montecatini Alto, the views are spectacular. The balance of the day is at your leisure. Day 5 ~ Montecatini at Leisure Optional Tour to Venice. Breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to do as you please. Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to Venice, one of the world’s most unique cities, will include a transfer via steam boat to the most beautiful “open air parlour” in Europe, St. Mark’s Square. Enjoy a guided tour of the city viewing the Basilica of Saint Mark, the Clock Tower, the exterior of Ducal Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and other important places. Dinner is included.

Day 10 ~ Medieval Lucca Tour Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a tour of medieval Lucca, the jewel of Northern Tuscany. It was an important junction in Roman times, you’ll see it in the north-south grid pattern of main streets and in the elliptical plan of the “Piazza Anfiteatro” . To the north of Lucca lie the Apuane Alps with their famous marble quarries, spas and mineral water springs, streams, woods and caves. Dinner is included.

Day 11 ~ Montecatini at Leisure - Optional Tour to a Cinque Terra PortBreakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to do as you please. Legendary Journeys is offering an optional tour to a Cinque Terra Port. The Cinque Terra is made up of 5 villages located on the Ligurian coast of Italy between Levanto to the north and La Spezia to the south. The Cinque Terra is a National park and a UNESCO World heritage site. The five villages are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. One of the best parts of visiting the Cinque Terre in Italy is that there is nothing you have to see but the view. Dinner is included.

Day 12 ~ Florence Tour Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a tour to Florence. This Renaissance gem and city of the Medicis will keep you enthralled for a whole day. Don’t miss out on the included walking tour with a local guide which features most of the city highlights. You will see the Piazza Santa Croce, the beautiful Piazza Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and its courtyard, the Loggia dei Lanzi, and, to top it all, the Piazza del Duomo and its cathedral with the Giotto Campanile, and the magnificent East Door of the Baptistry known as the “Gate to Paradise.” Dinner is included.
