Do you remember the moments when you experienced something for the first time? Awakening all your senses to fully absorb theexperience? And that you cannot help but smile when thinking back on it? at feeling of excitement, being open to the new and different,trying it out, daring more than you could ever imagine.

With Best of the Fest, Parktheater hopes to instill that feeling in you. It is up to theatres to contribute to a sensitive society in a creativeway. A world full of people who inspire and allow themselves to beinspired.I hope you will have a wonderful experience at the performances ofBest of the Fest 2013. Best of the Fest, Testing ground for2018Eindhoven Capital of CultureWe started the preparations for Best of the Fest two years ago. Due tothe cooperation with 2018Eindhoven it was already possible for us topresent a modest first version of the festival last year. It turns out thatif you are a candidate for Capital of Culture all kinds of doors thatwere previously closed are now open. is year, among other things,we set up a partnership with the Grec Festival in Barcelona, accordingto the concept of the Testing ground: 100Femmes. is 8-yearproject, led by Best of the Fest, will be developed into a majorinternational collaboration between the former and future Capitals of Culture.

e Best of the Fest poster also displays the 2018Eindhoven logo. If we hear on September 6 that we have been awarded the titleCapital of Culture, it will be partly due to the development of thisnew festival. And that is something we should surely be proud oftogether.

Too long has he or she rampantlygiven in to personal desires and pushed Mother Earth to the edge.Four men are taking the heroic task upon themselves to turn thisprocess around.
