Bienniel Survey
The Division of Forestry has been tasked with monitoring (not enforcing) BMP compliance
This is accomplished through a statewide survey every other year
Results are published in a public report available through your BMP forester
Bienniel Survey -process Fly over each county identifying recent silviculture
activity and logging it using GPS Using property appraiser web sites, determine
landowner. Contact landowner to confirm work has been done
recently, it is for silvicultural purposes, and request permission to do a survey on their property
Perform an audit on the site and inform the landowner of the results
