The Best Advice Convention is based on the book published by

entrepreneur and author Siya Mapoko – The Best Advice I Ever Got – which is

a collection of experiences, ideas and views revealing personal journeys from

where they started to where they are today.

This one day Convention will feature interactive and power-packed plenary

sessions, breakaway sessions that focus on key areas for personal and

professional development, as well as networking sessions.

The Convention also includes an exhibition that will showcase the tools that

are needed for career development, as well as other products and services that

are relevant to the attendees.

The Best Advice Convention is a part of the Best Advice Movement We’ve created this platform to help South Africans share and spread ideas that will push our nation forward. Current projects include

One for One For every copy of The Best Advice I Ever Got sold, a free copy is donated to a

learning institution, library, and community center or selected underprivileged Matric learner – one for one.

The Best Advice Convention This is an annual event where South Africans who are

active participants and producers for the South African economy get together to share and to spread ideas that can push our nation forward.

Networking Forum These include informal meetings, regularly scheduled, to interact and

build valuable relationships.

Give Advice Day Great ideas can push a nation as well as the rest of humanity forward. This

is a day set aside to spread ideas and advice. On this day we encourage people all over the world to use social media and other media platforms to spread ideas and to give advice. We encourage people to give away copies of the best books they’ve ever read to people they wish to inspire and empower. We also encourage people to CARE about one another – for just one day. Our theme for this day is: Give Advice, Give A Book, Give A Damn!

About Siya Mapoko Siya Mapoko is an independent marketing specialist and entrepreneur and has launched several companies in the media, advertising and publishing sectors. He has also served on boards of other companies and non-profits. Siya is the author of Conversations with JSE AltX entrepreneurs and The Best Advice I Ever Got. He is an international speaker who has shared stages and platforms with some of South Africa’s well-known business leaders and international authors such as Robin Sharma, Robert Kiyosaki and John Kehoe. Siya has taught at universities and business schools in South Africa and abroad. He is a former equities trader at a leading multinational Asset Management company. Siya has written columns and articles for various publications in South Africa and his work as an author and entrepreneur has been widely featured in South African media – print, radio and TV. His entrepreneurial work has been recognized by a number of organizations through nominations and awards.
