What drives us
• Our community is a special place• We want future development in the Bermondsey area to support and encourage the vibrancy and diversity of our community – in the people, the culture and the economy

Our vision
• We believe that the neighbourhood has a huge amount of potential and plenty of scope for improvement
• We want to see the area grow and evolve in a way that realises this potential and meets the needs of the people that live and work here whilst respecting the diversity, vitality and heritage that gives the area its unique character
• We want to ensure that the local community has a say regarding the nature of development and the way in which the area develops

Our ethos
• We will work with anyone who will work co-operatively with us
• We recognise that certain groups will have particular interests – and welcome them to get involved and lead work in that area

What we’ve done so far• Looked at the area “Wide and deep”• Engaged and gathered community views• Derived some key principles
– eg Independent shops, Allotments• Prepared a ‘shopping list’ of development
possibilities – the Opportunity Sites• Grouped sites together – the Action Areas• Produced a template for detailed work across our
patch – Long Lane masterplan
