Dear Sangha, We will have a retreat in the Berlin Yun Hwa Dharma Sah at the end of October to which you are cordially invited! The retreat will be organized jointly by the Dharma Sahs of Berlin and Oslo, thus the retreat language will be English and German. The retreat will be a good opportunity to deepen one’s own practice as well as a great chance for new students to learn the Yun Hwa Meditation practice. During this retreat, we will listen to and watch precious Dharma Speeches by Supreme Matriarch Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim, focusing on the subject of „Recognizing one’s own mind“. Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim traveled and taught for over 35 years in many European countries. In 1993 She founded the Lotus Buddhist Monastery in Hawaii. Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim teaches a pure Buddhism which stands in direct line to Shakyamuni Buddha (Siddharta Gautama) and is free of specific country traditions. World Social Buddhism regards every human being in this world as a single family. The Yun Hwa meditation practice is made up of five basic elements: sitting-and walking meditation, Mantra practice, traditional chanting, prostrations and Ki-Song exercises. We will commence our practice on Friday, October 26th at 9am, and finish on Sunday at 4pm. The practice during the retreat will also imply meditations, writing the Mantra, and practicing the Ki Song exercises. There will be ample time to explain the practice to new students and, as always, everybody will have the opportunity to ask personal questions to Dae Poep Sa Nim. The retreat fee is 100 per day. The Berlin Dharma Sah can not offer accommodation, so everybody who would like to join us for the retreat is kindly asked to arrange your own place to stay for sleeping. If you would like to register or have further questions, please contact [email protected]. For everybody who will register before October 1st and also pay the retreat fee, there is a discount of 10%, reducing the fee for the retreat to 270. Thank you very much and all our best in the Dharma, Mio Sop JJN, abbot of Berlin Yun Hwa Dharma Sah, and Myong Kyong JJN, abbot of Oslo Yun Hwa Dharma Sah Berlin Retreat October 26th to 28, 2018
