• ICT is compulsory subject for Junior High
School students in Ghana.
• Most rural schools do not have computers,
internet connections, electricity, school and
community libraries.
• Students learn ICT in abstract ; not practice.
• Most of them fail their exams including ICT
and some schools do not register their
students for the ICT exams.
Information for Development
• Visited each school once
a week for 31 weeks;
total of 115 visits made
• 215 children, between
the ages of 11 - 19, took
part in lessons
• 119 attended 9 rural
Internet sessions.
• 53 were taken through
the search for agric
information on.
Health Information
• Register interested expectant mothers
through partner facilities/Clinics/hospitals
• Send SMS each week to 200 expectant
mothers/fathers (directly or indirectly)
• Organise knowledge sharing platforms for
non literate expectant mothers.
