LAMINATE. These benchtops are durable, affordable and easy to maintain, with lots of colours and styles to choose from. Most are available to take home today, or if you want personalised benchtops, you can order them custom-made.*

WOOD. The natural colour and grain of wood adds warmth to your kitchen. It’s hardwearing and can be sanded and treated when needed. The benchtops come in oak, beech, birch and walnut and are available to take home today.

Built to last When we test our benchtops we put them up against everything they’ll face in your kitchen – liquids, oil, steam, heat, thumps, bumps and scratches. Once we’re done we’re so sure our benchtops will last, we guarantee it.

SOLID WOOD BENCHTOPS

Natural and durable, solid wood brings a warm feeling to your kitchen and makes each benchtop unique. It ages beautifully and you simply sand and treat it to keep the benchtop looking great.

Our pre-cut solid wood benchtops are available in birch and oak. Whichever wood you choose, you’ll get a unique and durable work surface that, with a little care, will age gracefully.

Birch is fine-grained and pale in colour with a satin-like sheen that darkens with age. It often has knots or heartwood in cream or light brown which will give your benchtop a unique and distinct natural look.

Oak is a very hard wood, making it a popular choice for benchtops and interiors. Its colour ranges from light brown to a rich reddish-brown and it darkens with age.

Good to knowWe pre-treat all our solid wood benchtops to give them a good start to life in your kitchen, but they require occasional care to keep them in good condition.

To restore the benchtop surface and protect it from stains, apply a wood treatment oil (like BEHANDLA) three to five times a year. Areas where the benchtop may dry out, such as around the sink and cooktop, should be treated more often.

For daily cleaning, use a moist cloth or sponge with some mild detergent and wipe to dry.

Our thin-layer wood benchtops have the same look and feel as our solid wood benchtops, but require less frequent care.

They are pre-treated with hard wax oil, and no other treatment is necessary until the surface starts to wear.

Thin-layer wood benchtops are made of particleboard and covered with a 3.5mm layer of solid wood, a hardwearing natural material that can be sanded and treated when needed.

3.8CM THICK KARLBY thin-layer wood benchtop is available in oak, beech, birch and walnut. Two edging strips are included so you can finish the edges if you make your own size adjustments.

Better for the environmentWe minimised the use of solid wood by using a top layer of wood over particleboard – making sure we use resources carefully.

CERAMIC. DOMSJÖ sinks are durable, hygienic and resistant to heat, with a smooth, non-porous surface that prevents dirt from penetrating and makes cleaning easy. Rinse strongly coloured liquids like coffee or wine off with water to keep the surface looking fresh for years.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BENCHTOPStart by measuring your benchtop from the corner where it attaches to the wall. Make sure to measure alongside the wall, and always start from the same point. When measuring the depth, start from the wall and measure out. Don’t forget to add minimum 1.5cm for an overhang too.

If you need to measure for a freestanding benchtop (for a kitchen island, for example) simply start from one end and add minimum 3.0cm extra for an overhang.

All PERSONLIG stone benchtops require a mandatory service charge of $550 per order, this includes a check-measure for your convenience.

To measure for a sink, start from the same point where you’ve taken your previous measurements and measure to the centre of where you would like your sink to sit.

APPLIANCESWhat is covered under this guarantee?This guarantee covers applicable faults of the appliance, as per the Terms & Conditions, from the date of purchase from IKEA. This guarantee applies to domestic use only. The exceptions are specified under the heading ’What is not covered under this guarantee?’ Within the guarantee period, the costs to remedy the fault, eg. repairs, parts, labour and travel will be covered, provided that the appliance is accessible for repair without special expenditure. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA. The services will be in-home service for domestic appliances, and must be done by the IKEA authorised service partner through its own service operations network. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. If the authorised service agent requests that you deliver the product directly to them, please ensure that the appliance is suitably packaged to avoid any damage during transportation.

How long is the guarantee valid?This guarantee is valid for five (5) years from the original date of purchase of the IKEA appliance from IKEA provided that the appliance was purchased after 1 April 2012. LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances have a two (2) year guarantee valid from the original date of purchase. The original sales receipt is required as proof of purchase. Which appliances are covered under this guarantee?The five (5) year guarantee is valid for all IKEA appliances purchased after 1 April 2012, except for LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances, which have a two (2) year guarantee.

Which appliances are not covered under this guarantee?All appliances purchased from IKEA before 1 April 2012.

Who will execute the service?The IKEA service provider will provide the service through its own service operations or authorised service partner network.

What is not covered under this guarantee?• Normal wear and tear. • Deliberate or negligent damage, damage caused by

failure to observe operating instructions, incorrect installation or connection to the wrong voltage, damage caused by chemical or electro-chemical reaction, rust, corrosion or water damage including but not limited to damage caused by excessive lime in the water supply, damage caused by abnormal environmental conditions.

• Damage caused by the use of the appliance in a manner other than the use for which it was specifically designed.

• Damage caused by power outages, electrical power surge or improper supply voltage via connection to supply authority mains or alternative supply systems.

• Consumable parts including batteries and lamps. • Damage as a result of excessive use of cleaning

products or cleaning agents. • Non-functional and decorative parts which do not

affect normal use of the appliance, including any scratches and possible colour differences.

• Accidental damage caused by foreign objects or substances and cleaning or unblocking of filters, drainage systems or soap drawers.

• Damage caused by vermin, insects or pets.• Damage to the following parts: ceramic glass,

accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals, lamps and lamp covers, screens, knobs, casings and parts of casings. Unless such damages can be proved to be due to production faults.

• Cases where no fault could be found during a technician’s visit.

• Repairs not carried out by our appointed service providers and/or an authorised service contractual partner or where non-original parts have been used.

• Repairs to parts or systems caused by unauthorised modifications made to the appliance.

• Repairs caused by installation which is faulty or not according to specification.

• The use of the appliance in a non-domestic environment, ie. commercial use.

• Transportation damages. If a customer transports the product to their home or other address, IKEA is not liable for any damage that may occur during transport. However, if IKEA delivers the product to the customer’s delivery address, then damage to the product that occurs during this delivery will be covered by IKEA (but not under this guarantee). For claims under this last particular condition the customer should contact IKEA Customer Service at IKEA.com.au

• Cost for carrying out the initial installation of the IKEA appliance. However, if an IKEA-appointed service provider or its authorised service partner repairs or replaces the appliance under the terms of this guarantee, the appointed service provider or its authorised service partner will re-install the repaired appliance or install the replacement, if necessary.

KITCHEN MIXER TAPSWhat is covered under this guarantee?At IKEA the 10 year guarantee is valid for all kitchen mixer taps and covers defects in material and workmanship. It applies to domestic use only. Our kitchen mixer taps are tested beyond all relevant international standards, and we use only top brand components to secure our 10 year guarantee promise.

What is not covered under this guarantee?This guarantee does not cover:• Normal wear and tear • Cuts or scratches • Damage caused by impacts, accidents or waterborne debris • The expendable filter/aerator which should be cleaned regularly and replaced when worn out.____________________________________

What will IKEA do to correct the problem?IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. If considered covered, IKEA through its own service operations, will then, at its sole discretion, replace it with the same or a comparable product. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. It is IKEA that determines, at its sole discretion, what constitutes an appropriate replacement.

Conditions for the guaranteesThe guarantees are valid from the date of purchase at IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

ExclusionsThese guarantees do not apply to products purchased in the ‘AS IS’ area or bargain corner.

The guarantees do not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. The guarantees do not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents or waterborne debris.

The guarantees do not apply if the products have been used for public use, outdoors or in a corrosive environment. They do not cover accidental damage.

If goods are repaired/replaced during the guarantee period, this will not extend the guarantee period for the product, new parts or replacement product.
