INTRODUCTION

A key to any media relations campaign is distribution. Once you’ve crafted your key mes-sages and created the media release/other promotional materials, you need to ensure that the copy is reaching the right media outlets to generate widespread coverage.

That’s where the Saskatchewan Media Directory comes into play. This publication contains a detailed listing of all the media outlets in the province, from daily newspapers to radio broadcasters and TV stations with large reaches. However, not every story is necessarily a mainstream topic. Through our Specialty Publications section, you will find a detailed list of magazines, newsletters and e-blasts spread across a variety of sectors such as agriculture, culture and history. Take advantage of this section to target your media releases to the publications they’re best suited for.

This is an annual publication, meaning it’s the most up-to-date copy of media contacts available. Each year we review and update contact information for all media outlets, while adding new ones and taking out ones that are no longer in operation. Instead of constantly updating your media list, this publication ensures that you can devote your re-sources to developing and refining the communications pieces you submit to the media.
