Caution! Wear safety glasses and NIOSHapproved dust mask when using this belt sander.

Tie back long hair and tuck it into your shirt. When

using the sander, keep fingers, hair, loose clothing,

children and pets away from sanding belt. Allow

pieces that are being or have just been sanded to

cool off to avoid inadvertantly burning your fingers.

Assembly1. Attach the clamp on the Wolf belt sander securely to your bench or

    work surface.

    2. With the flex shaft unplugged, loosen the post bolt, insert the clamp

rod or BenchMate adapter all the way into the hole then tighten well.

Loosen clamp knob to adjust angle, then tighten well.

    3. Attach the belt sander to the flex shaft before putting on a sanding

belt. Keep hands away from rollers. With flex shaft running at a slow

speed, gently insert the tip of the flex shaft into the collar. When the

rollers are spinning, take your foot off pedal and push the flex shaft

into the collar. To remove the flex shaft from the belt sander, turn off

the flex shaft. Then pull back the retractable collar on the belt sander

and pull the flex shaft out.

    4. Unplug the flex shaft when adjusting or changing belts or adjusting

the angle of the sander. To put a belt on, loosen nut on side of sander,

allowing the middle roller to pivot up. Slide the belt on, put pressure

on middle roller, and tighten the nut.

    Belt Sander

The Wolf Belt Sander can be worked at any

position that makes sense for your desired

task, including on the end, on the flat plate

on the top, or between the wheels on

the back (figs. AC) The Wolf belt sander

is ideal for sprue removal, bench work,

    graver/chisel sharpening; tool making

and modification and more. The optional GRS Adapter (fig. D; not

included) fits into the GRS pivoting

BenchMate collar (fig. E; not included).

This allows for the easiest, infinite-angle

    positioning, including upside-down

positioning so that you can work between

    the rollers.

This Wolf belt sander includes five assorted

    ruby belts (80, 120, 180, 240 and 320 grit).

A full selection of Imperial Microfinishing,

    Diamond Microfinishing, Trizact, and

Regal XO Dust Belts by 3M (ranging from

80 to 30,000 grit) are also available.

A vacuum cleaner may be attached to

the plastic tube to remove dust particles.

To keep the pieces you are sanding from

being sucked into the vacuum, put a

piece of plastic screening, available from

hardware stores, over the end of the tube

(fig. G) before attaching the vacuum hose

    (fig. H).
