The Chamber promotes the development of contacts between Belarusian business circles with foreign partners, organizes trade and economic missions, business contact machmakings , conferences, training programmes, trainings, exhibitions and fairs in the Republic of Belarus and abroad.The BelCCI is an independent nongovernmental and nonprofit organization that expresses and protects interests of Belarusian and foreign businessmen, manufacturers and service providers irrespective of the form of ownership who carry out their business activities within the Republic of Belarus and abroad. The Chamber promotes the development of national economy, industrial, scientific-and-technological and trade relations between the Republic of Belarus and other countries.In 2010, acting as the national exhibition operator, BelCCI with dignity represented Belarus at the National exposition of the Republic of Belarus at World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China. Taking into consideration the constantly growing role of the Chamber in the economic life of the country 12 councils of business cooperation with other countries have been jointly set up. The BelCCI is actively liaising with the “Belarus – EU Business Council” with its headquarters in Brussels. Since 2008 the BelCCI has annually conducted financial and investment forums. The Chamber is also a member of three working groups of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. From time to time the Chamber publishes proposals on investment projects, familiarizing foreign companies with business opportunities in Belarus. Since October 2010 the BelCCI has been a participant of the Advisory Council of Heads of CCIs of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. This summer within the framework of the EU’s ”Eastern Partnership” programme the Chamber and the European Chamber started work on a pilot project of international technical assistance “EAST INVEST”.
