Day-Ahead Market The core activity of Belpex is the Day-Ahead

Market, an auction where trading takes

place for the delivery of electricity the

next day. Belpex market participants submit

their orders electronically, after which

supply and demand are compared and

the market price is calculated for each

hour of the following day. Hourly orders and

flexible block orders can be submitted.

Continuous Intraday Market The Belpex Continuous Intraday Market

offers Belpex participants the opportunity

to continuously trade power products in

hourly intervals as well as freely definable

block orders up to 5 minutes prior to

delivery. The Cross-Border Intraday solution

provides an integrated Intraday market

linked with the Dutch and Nordic markets.

EuroLight® & ElbasThe EuroLight platform is a robust and

versatile system offering secure and

anonymous trading across all APX and

Belpex spot markets, with the exception

of the Continental Intraday markets.

Intuitive screens and flexibility of set-up

are complemented by real-time collateral

monitoring to allow for fast, efficient

trading in our markets. The Elbas platform

is used for trading in the Intraday
