WHAT DOESN’T HELPSTANDING DOESN’T HELPThough standing may be a little better than sitting, standing can be a sedentary act, too, often involving no movement. And it’s the lack of movement that creates the negative health effects, whether you do it sitting or standing. And although standing rather than sitting does in-crease productivity, standing for long periods creates an entirely new set of problems, including fatigue, physical discomfort and a loss of overall mental sharpness.
