On behalf of DP Sales Management and the Belles of the Bluegrass group we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the 17th annual “Belles of the Bluegrass” female sale, October 11th in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. The track record of the Belles of Bluegrass has been consistent over the past years and can you believe the group has 16 years of sales behind them. The breeders involved have been known for producing and offering genetics that are functional, efficient, broody, maternal oriented with realistic production traits that are top of the list. The commitment of the breeders still remains strong. This year the Belles group had a great bull sale and look forward to offering the females of their respective programs. This year the Belles of the Bluegrass group has a strong set of opens that will be champions in the Kentucky Proud program and will be great prospects for future AJSA shows, North American and the Kentucky State Fair. The sale has always been known for those great production oriented breds however the group continues to offer opens with show potential. Congrats to AK Phillips with a daughter of WHF Whoopie that was purchased out of the Belles. She claimed champion bred and owned % at the National AJSA Classic. This is another exciting offering from our young donor that we purchased from Grass-Lunning. She was part of the champion percentage pen of three in Denver and has gone on to make an impressive cow. Her first calf sold well in the bulls of the bluegrass sale. Her second calf is pictured here and has done well for Lily this show season being picked seventh overall percentage heifer at the eastern regional and 4th overall bread and owned percentage female at junior nationals.
