Beliefs about Students
Lindsay Brown
I Believe Students are Creative
• In my classroom I want to accompany these students who are creative by making sure that for projects the students will have options as to what kind of a project they would like to do. I will teach in ways that are creative and interesting for these types of students to allow them the best success for learning.
I Believe Students are Ac2ve
• In my classroom with these kinds of students I am going to allowing them :me to interact with each others and have ac:vi:es for them to move around and interacts with all fellow classmates. I will be reasonable with the students who need to be ac:ve and move around.
I Believe Students are Emo:onal
I Believe Students are Unique!• Students are all unique in there
own ways. In my classroom I am going to encourage my students to be who they are and am going to use there differences to my advantage. Being unique means different perspec:ves and ways of learning and I am going to allow my students the ability to express themselves in there own unique ways.
I Believe Students are Inspiring
• Believing students are inspiring means that I am going to use them to help me learn and grow as a teacher. I believe that they have the power to surprise us in the different ways they think and how much they do actually know.
• In my classroom I am going to treat my students all equal to an extent. Everyone is equal unless proven that they can not be treated in the same manor as the rest of the class.
• Independence is extremely important in the way we think and do. In my classroom I am going to encourage independence and allow for my students to think on their own but in a way that is going to guide them for success.
I Believe Students are Independent
I Believe Students all have Different Iden::es
• Students all have different ideas and views which make them who they are. In my classroom I am going to allow for students to have the freedom to think outside the box and have there own iden:ty with their ideas and help them grow their iden:ty for the future.
