Belgrade is the capital and the largest city in Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Belgrade fortress, Kalemegdan, is the core and the oldest section of the urban area of Belgrade.

Kalemegdan was founded in the 3rd century BC as "Singidunum" by the Celtic tribe of Scordisci.

The Victor monument is located on the fortress.

Knez Mihailova Street is the main pedestrian zone in Belgrade.

The 1km long Knez Mihailova Street in the centre of the city was declared Spatial Cultural-Historical Units of Great Importance in 1979, and it is protected by Republic of Serbia. The street has been named one of the most beautiful pedestrian zones in Eastern Europe and is a constant buzz of people and tourists.

Skadarska Street (or Skadarlija) is the main bohemian quarter of Belgrade, styled as the Belgrade Montmartre.

St Sava temple The largest Orthodox Church in the Balkans One of the 10 largest church buildings in the world.

The church is dedicated to Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia. It is built on the Vracar plateau, on the location where his remains were burned in 1595 by the Ottoman Empire's Sinan Pasha. From its location, it dominates Belgrade's cityscape, and is perhaps the most monumental building in the city. The National library of Serbia is located next to the Temple.

The Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel (commonly known as just Saborna crkva (The Cathedral) among the city residents) is one of the most important places of worship in the country. The cathedral was built from 1837 to 1840 by order of Prince Milos Obrenovic.

Kosancicev venac is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, located near the Saborna Church. It is the oldest section of Belgrade outside the walls of the Kalemegdan fortress.

In 1979 Kosancicev Venac was officially added to the Spatial Cultural-Historical Units of Great Importance list, and named a Monument of Culture, with explanation: "It is the area of the oldest Serbian settlement, the first developed administrative, cultural, spiritual and economic center of the city with specific ambient qualities".

The Parliament building is located in downtown Belgrade, on the Nikola Pasic Square. Construction on the building started in 1907, with the cornerstone being laid by King Petar I.

Gardos is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade situated in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. The major attraction in the neighborhood is The tower of Janos Hunyadi or the Millennium tower, also known as the Tower on the hill or simply the Gardos tower.
