Team Worker (people / feelings) Cares for individuals and the team: loyal Good listener and works to resolve social problems: friendly Therefore Would be good at bringing harmony to a team when conflict arises Can have problems making difficult decisions, wanting to stay loyal to all team members they would sit on the fence so as not to offend

Co-ordinator (people / feelings) Respected leader who helps everyone focus on their task: Powerful Can be seen as excessively controlling: Powerful, ferocious Therefore Would bring order to a team activity, event or team working Others may not be heard / opinion may appear insignificant by comparison

Resource Investigator (people / feelings) Explores new ideas and possibilities with energy and with others: Innovative Good networker: curious Can be too optimistic (lively) and lose energy after the initial flush. Therefore Will have initial enthusiasm when undertaking team work or group activities Will continually need new projects do work on, may start a task but not finish

Plant (Thinker / problem solver) Solves difficult problems with original and creative ideas: Persistent, Diligent Can be poor communicator, timid and may ignore the details. Therefore Good to stimulate ideas in a team but may find it difficult to get ideas across verbally Ideas demonstrated easier

Specialist (Thinker / problem solver) Has expert knowledge/skills in key areas and will solve many problems here: Intelligent Can be disinterested in all other areas: Independent Therefore May not be required all the time in a team and may be called upon to seek specialist advice / skill. E.g. In a school seeking the advice of a careers at appropriate specific times

Monitor/Evaluator (Thinker / problem solver) Sees the big picture: Memory Thinks carefully and accurately about things. May lack energy or ability to inspire others. Therefore Is able to clarity aspects previously discussed / actions completed within a team

Implementer (doing / acting) Well-organized and predictable: Focused Takes basic ideas and makes them work in practice: Methodical Can be slow but will finish Therefore In a team will make things happen but may take some time

Shaper (doing / acting) Lots of energy and action: Strong Challenging others to move forwards. Can be insensitive. Therefore Can make a good leader within a group especially when implementing something new e.g. A head teacher setting targets for staff to move on through staff development

Completer / Finisher (doing / acting) Reliably sees things through to the end, ironing out the wrinkles and ensuring everything works well: Intelligent Can worry too much and not trust others if communication is not good but generally friendly and joyful: Playful Therefore Works with other harmoniously to get things done
