STATE STRUCTURE

The Republic of Belarus is a unitary, democratic, social state based on the rule of law.

The state power in the Republic of Belarus shall be exercised on the principle of its separation into legislative, executive and judical powers.

The President of the Republic of Belarus shall be the Head of the State, the guarantor of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, of the rights and freedoms of a man and a citizen.

The Parliament - the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus - is a representative and legislative body of the Republic of Belarus, shall consist of two Houses - the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.

Executive power in the Republic of Belarus shall be exercised by the Government - the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

Judicial power in the Republic of Belarus shall reside in the courts.
