3. Once the order is received at the radiopharmacy, Isotrac generates a unique order ID number to track and trace every step and component used in the patient’s radiopharmaceutical dose. Then, the order is verified by an authorized nuclear pharmacist.

ORDER

1. The physician places an order for a nuclear medicine procedure in the EHR system. This allows the radiopharmaceutical to appear on the patient’s medication administration record (MAR).

2. The order flows into Syntrac™ Integration Tools via HL7. The NMT verifies the order and transmits it electronically to the radiopharmacy, helping eliminate order entry errors and duplicate data entry.

Our end-to-end solution directly integrates with your nuclear medicine department’s electronic health record (EHR) system to help you care for patients safely and accurately.

9. Isotrac verifies the correct activity level at the corresponding calibration time.

PREPARE

4. Before the radiopharmaceutical kit can be prepared, all components used in the kit preparation are received into the Isotrac system and barcode labeled. Our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prevent non FDA-approved products from being received into Isotrac.

5. The nuclear pharmacist scans the non-RAM drug vial, RAM, diluent and any excipients into the Isotrac kit preparation module.

6. While the nuclear pharmacist is preparing the kit, the Isotrac application confirms: a. All components used for kit preparation are not expired and have not been recalled. b. All components needed for kit preparation have been included.c. The prepared radiopharmaceutical product is within the approved minimum/

maximum activity levels. d. Products that should not be part of the kit are prevented from being included.e. Prepared radiopharmaceutical passes Cardinal Health Quality Control (QC) standards.

Now, the radiopharmaceutical is prepared.

7. The nuclear pharmacist scans the prepared radiopharmaceutical into the Isotrac dispensing module, which allows only product matching pharmacist-verified orders to be dispensed.

8. The nuclear pharmacist draws the patient-specific dose into the syringe and places the dose into a dose calibrator that is connected to Isotrac.

14. After verification, the driver departs the pharmacy to deliver the dose.

15. The dose is tracked during transit so we maintain chain of custody and can notify you of delays due to weather or traffic.

SHIP

10. The nuclear pharmacist scans the customer-specific container and the barcoded dose to ensure the dose is placed into the right container.

11. Then, the nuclear pharmacist closes the container, completes wipes and surveys, and verifies and prints the DOT paperwork in Isotrac.

12. Next, the nuclear pharmacist scans the driver badge and the vehicle transporting the dose, allowing the information to flow to the mobile delivery application.

13. To load the vehicle, the driver taps the mobile delivery device to the NFC tag on the container to verify that it is the correct container and dose for that customer.

• Mobile delivery application = Tablet used by our drivers to provide navigation, dose tracking and proof of delivery capabilities in conjunction with the NFC tag.

• Near Field Communication (NFC) tag = Programmable micro-chip with an antenna embedded in a sticker which wirelessly communicates with our mobile device.

RECEIVE

20. The NMT places the dose into a dose calibrator that is connected to SyntracTM Integration Tools, which provides error-free, efficient dose assay capabilities for patient dosing documentation.

19. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) receives the inventory by electronically downloading the radiopharmaceutical prescription order receipts into Syntrac™ Integration Tools.

18. The delivery is made and proof of delivery is established.

DELIVER

16. Upon arrival at the customer site, the driver scans the customer’s NFC tag in the hot lab to verify they are at correct customer.

17. Then the driver scans the NFC tag on the container to verify they have the correct dose.

22. Next, the NMT scans the SafetracTM barcode on the unit-dose to electronically verify the remaining patient’s five rights: right drug and right dose.

23. After electronic verification, the dose is administered to the patient.

21. At the point of administration, the NMT scans the patient’s wristband into the EHR system to verify right patient, right time and right route.

Epic Syntrac™

24. The radiopharmaceutical appears on the patient’s Medical Administration Record (MAR) and can be dropped to billing. In addition, a secondary HL7 connection sends the dosing information to SyntracTM Integration Tools to document patient exposure for accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies — removing duplicate data entry.
