A Beginner’s Guide to Searching for Company Information using Thomson One Banker.

Search for Thomson One Banker and select Thomson One Banker (off campus). Alternatively go straight to http://banker.thomsonib.com/

After choosing the correct company select the ‘Company Analysis’ tab to see all the reports you can view. From here you choose to view data on prices, balance sheets, company profiles, earnings, estimates and much more.

You can download any of the data into Excel as well as change the currency and sometimes the date range of what you are looking at.

On some screens in Thomson One Banker there is an Interactive Charting tool which allows you to create customized graphs. This is great if you are comparing companies. You can view the figures behind the chart by selecting ‘View Data’.

What else can you do on Thomson One Banker?

a. There is a whole section for comparables where you can add as many companies as you like to a working set and compare prices, earnings, income market cap.

b. Get top Reuters news and data on currencies in the Market Awareness option. c. Find out about the ownership of a company including insider transactions,

shareholders and mutual fund holders.

d. Investigate mergers and acquisitions including recent deals, volume trends for equities and bonds.

e. Search data on Private Equity including investments and new IPOs.
