Crothers Stewards: J. Jackson Closing Date for Entries: 10th October 2014 at 5.00pm Entry Fees: All classes. Members $5.00, Non Members $5.50 (Includes GST– refer special notice in Schedule preamble) Straw: $5.50 per bale. Exhibitors to order and pay for straw needs with entries. Maximum two bales per animal exhibited. Cattle showing Rules Johnes Disease Declaration Form: All cattle entries must be accompanied by a completed declaration form re: Johnes Disease, see insert in Schedule. Showgrounds facilities will be audited to obtain a Certificate of Compliance for the housing of cattle so as to maintain the status of exhibitors stock compliant with the current Cattle MAP guidelines. NLIS: National Livestock Identification Scheme Refer to the preamble under the heading National Livestock Identification Scheme. Pen Space: So that ample pen space may be allotted the exhibitor must state the number of cattle he intends to show on his entry form. Tethering and Handling Requirements: A halter must secure all cattle. Both an effective collar or neck rope and halter shall securely tie up polled, wholly or partially dehorned exhibits, when not under the immediate and effective control of an attendant. All bulls over one year old must be secured by the nose when being led and all bulls of one year and over must have a nose ring. Handlers of all stock must be competent and experienced. Public Liability Insurance: See preamble to Schedule General Information: Indoor accommodation available for cattle. Exhibitors may arrive on day prior to show however cattle required only on judging day. Unless prior arrangements made with Chief Steward, cattle pavilion should be vacated by 4.00pm to facilitate cleaning for dairy cattle on next day. compete at higher levels of the VAS Ltd Beef Cattle Judging Competition and must undertake that, if placed � rst or second, they will compete at higher levels until eliminated. The Competitor winning at the Warrnambool Show is not eligible to compete at other shows held prior to the South Western Group � nal during the current season. Competitors having won at a previous Show of the South Western Group during the current show season shall not be eligible to compete at the Warrnambool Show during such current season.SCALE OF POINTS FOR JUDGING:50 points for the correct placement of animals in each of three classes - 150;100 points for the oral class, scored on their ring craft, accuracy of observation, their comparative statements, speaking ability and general presentation and dress - 100; Maximum points 250. 1st $25, 2nd $20, 3rd $15. Entry FREE.JUNIOR HANDLER COMPETITIONMust be less than 25 years of age at date of show, male or female. Can use any suitable animal. Judge will consider: Presentation of the Entrant, Control of animal, Ability to respond to Judge, Balance of Entrant & Animal, Ability to exhibit animal, Knowledge and Ringcraft.1st $25, 2nd $15, 3rd $10. SECTION K — SHEEPChief Steward: Chief Steward Assistant: K QuigleyStewards: Messrs P McDonald, T Symons, G MelanoJudging Day: Friday 24th October 2014, 10.00amEntry Fees: $4.00 (unless otherwise stated)Entries Close: 11th October 2013Special Notice: Exhibitors in all sheep classes should state on the entry form numbers of pens required in addition to stating number of stock. Sheep entered must have been bred by the exhibitor.Shearing Dates: Long Wool Section from 1st June year of the Show except Drysdales 30th September previous year. Short Wool Section from 1st August. All lambs in wool.Judging of Sheep: All sheep with the exception of prime lambs must be led out to be judged if required. Groups to be drawn from ordinary classes.Non-admission of Sheep: The Committee has power to refuse admission to or cause to be removed from the Showgrounds, any exhibit a� ected with parasite, vermin or contagious or other disease.

Animal Health Status:a. A current and correct National Sheep Health Statement must be

completed and forwarded with entries. Sheep will be penned accordingly (at the discretion of the Warrnambool Show stewards).

b. All sheep entries will only be accepted from Ovine Brucellosis Accredited Free � ocks

c. Exhibitors are reminded that the Warrnambool Show site is compliant with national OJD MAP guidelines and information from National Sheep Health Statement will be used when allocating pens to ensure site maintains this accreditation.

You could add either or both of these rules or a declaration: 1. Animals entered by me do not show any signs of symptoms of footrot or

lice and, to the best of my knowledge and belief, no animals entered by me have been in recent contact with a� ected animals.

2. Sheep from OJD infected or suspected to be infected � ocks will not be permitted entry unless they are Approved Vaccinates.

British Breeds: Entries in the British Breed Classes are restricted to animals bred in a registered � ock and exhibited by members of the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association Limited.Public Liability Insurance: See preamble to Schedule
