We use tongue & groove cladding in the construction of our sheds, with the exception of the heavy dutyfeatherboards which are rebated boards. For the walls you can opt to have either shiplap or loglap claddingdip-treated in golden brown base treatment or pressure-treated. New to our range is Thermowoodcladding, which is ideal material for use in exposed areas. This cladding is ex 22x125mm Tongue & Groovedboards. Floors & doors are all made from tongue & groove planed timber & either pressure-treated ordip-treated in brown base preservative. Roofs are allex 16x125 t&g planed timber & dip-treated in brown,whether you have a pressure-treated building or a dip-treated building. They come fitted with a standardfelt. Other roof options area available. For the Merit & County range of sheds we use ex38mm x 47mmframing. For larger buildings e.g. workshops and garages we use ex38 x 75mm framing . Ironmongery isgalvanised for longer life, unless stated, & we supply one key with the building. All the Summerhouses comecomplete with a pull handle. Glass is 3mm thick horticultural glass as standard, except for playhouses wherewe use polycarbonate glazing.

Anka Base System is an easy to fit adjustable base and comes with 100 x 50mm pressure treated timber, heavyduty screw spikes, brackets to fit to the frame and adjustable circular bearing plates. These plates help spread theweight and can be moved up or down using a spanner to level your base. This system keeps the shed off theground ensuring your shed stays dry and well ventilated. These are suitable for soft ground.The plastic base panels are made up from a series of interlocking cells which provides an attractive finish thatshould be filled with gravel to provide a durable free draining surface. Easily slot together which adds to the speedof installation. The open nature of the base allows water to drain away naturally away from your garden buildingwhilst promoting air flow under your structure which reduces the chance of it becoming rotten.

The plastic base is sent to you prior to delivery & installation of your building, for you to put down.The Anka Base is delivered and installed along with your building.

The Merit Workshops have extra height, heavy duty framing and double doors as standard. Other sizesare available on request. Add another set of windows for additional light. Framing is ex38mm x 75mm.The double doors which are framed, ledged & braced are 1515mm wide and 1935mm high, less than 10’wide the double doors are 1780mm high. Roof braces are fitted for buildings over 12 feet. The height tothe eaves is 2080mm.Height to the highest point - 8’ wide is 2.4M, 10’ wide is 2.43M, 12’ wide is 2.5M. The 10’ deep buildingshas a set of widnows with at least one opening and the other sizes have a set of 4 with 1 opening window.

County Workshops & Garages

Sturdily built, with three roof braces the Garage has a door opening of 2.1m. The 14’ Garages aresupplied with two windows, with one opening, where the larger buildings have three windows with oneopening. The side door allows for easy pedestrian access and can be positioned to the left or right of thewindows on whichever side of the building you require. The doors are framed ledge & braced. Framingis ex 38mm x 75mm. The garage has no floor and will require a concrete base for the buildings to beerected on. They are frame fixed to the concrete base. The height to the eaves is 2.18M. Height to thehighest point - 8’wide is 2.50M, 10’ wide is 2.53M, 12’ wide is 2.6M.

These are robust buildings with plenty of height. All doors are framed ledged and braced. Thesebuildings can be supplied with either and apex or pent roof. Framing on all the buildings is ex 38x75mmThe building comes with mineral felt as standard but, as they are large buildings we would recommendyou look at the alternative roof options.
