Side channel blowers have been developed in the 50s simultaneously by Siemens and Becker (2. generation)
Siemens introduced the side channel blowers about 3 months earlier than Becker
There are some substantial differences in the design of Becker´s side channel blowers, which are still existing (especially the impeller design)
