UAB District Steam Plant – Birmingham, AlabamaA state of the art facility providing steam and condensate to facilities including the VA Hospital, Callahan Eye Hospital and Southern Research Institute. BECC Provided Construction Materials Testing services as well as Special Inspections in accordance with the International Building Code.

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport – Gulfport, MississippiThis airport serves the gulf coast region, and regularly sees more than 300,000 passengers depart from its runways on a yearly basis. BECC provided Construction Materials Testing and Inspections to FAA standards for the project.

D.C. Metro Red Line and Green Line – Washington D.C.The Red Line and Green Line are part of the Washington Metro Rail Rapid Transit System. The red line serves 27 stations from Montgomery County, Maryland to D.C. The green line serves 21 stations from Prince George’s County, Maryland to D.C. BECC performed Materials Testing and Geological Mapping for the projects.

Cumberland Gap Tunnel – Tennessee / Kentucky BorderThe tunnel carries U.S. 25E under the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The 4600ft tunnels connect Tennessee and Kentucky and see approximately 24,000 vehicles per day. BECC performed Construction Materials Testing as well as Geological Mapping. BECC also helped to develop ASTM C1018 regarding the performance of reinforcing fibers in shotcrete which lines the tunnel walls.

Regions Field – Birmingham, AlabamaPart of the redevelopment and renewal of downtown Birmingham, this is the new home for the Minor League Baseball Team – The Birmingham Barons. When you sit behind homeplate, you can see two of our other projects – Children’s Hospital and The Venue at the Ballpark Apartments. BECC provided Geotechnical design as well as Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections for this project

CDC Roybal Campus – Dekalb County, GeorgiaThe headquarters for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is located just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The CDC focuses on public health through development of disease control and prevention. BECC assisted with the deep foundation design on this project.

Benjamin Russell Hospital For Children – Birmingham, AlChildren's of Alabama's newest state of the art hospital for children. BECC provided Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections for the duration of the project.

Gorgas Steam Plant Baghouse Project – Parrish, AlabamaThe new baghouse contains approximately 20,000 filter bags. The primary purpose of these bags is to recapture heavy metals such as Mercury before it enters the atmosphere. BECC provided Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections on both the deep foundation and conventional foundation packages.

Biloxi Northern Infrastructure Project – Biloxi, MississipiPart of the Restore Biloxi project, the infrastructure replacement will provide brand new drainage, water lines, sewer, sidewalks, and roadway. This project will restore Biloxi’s Infrastructure components that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. BECC is providing continuous Construction Materials Testing and Inspections for the duration of the project.

Embassy Suites – Tuscaloosa, AlabamaThe eight story, 154 suite hotel opened in the spring of 2015. The hotel features premier luxury amenities not found elsewhere in the city. In addition to Materials Testing and Special Inspections, BECC provided Geotechnical Engineering Services including deep foundation design.

Memphis Intermodal Facility – Memphis, TennesseeFilled with giant cranes, trains, and tractor trailers, the Memphis Intermodal Facility is one of the nation’s hubs for movement of goods across the country. BECC performed testing of Roller Compacted Concrete on this project.
