GONG FU CHA

The tea plant Camellia sinensis L., cháshù in Chinese, is

emblematic of the Middle Kingdom where it first originated.

At that time, it was cultivated mainly as an herbal medicine

within temples. Monks began to use tea for its soothing and

calming effects and as a sign of humility and respect for

nature. Tea then spread throughout Chinese society and is

appreciated for its personality, which is connected to its

region of origin, its terroir. Oolong, Souchong or Yin Zhen:

Gong Fu Cha is the Chinese Tea ceremony, a moment of
