RUSSELL LANDSBen Russell, Chairman and CEO
of Russell Lands, founded the Lake Martin Amphitheater, inspired by his love for the arts and the beautiful scenery of the Kowaliga Basin. When constructing the amphitheater in 1998, his goal was to construct a facility overlooking one of the most beautiful areas of the lake, and donate its use to the lake community to promote and provide for artistic and cultural enjoyment.
The Lake Martin Arts Council (LMAC), a non-profit organization made up of interested area citizens, governs all amphitheater activities. The Lake Martin Amphitheater is a not-for-profit venue where events present a wholesome family format and security maintains a family atmosphere.
Located just off Hwy 63, one mile south of the Kowaliga Bridge, the Lake Martin Amphitheater hosts events during the spring and summer, usually holding four to six events each year. The amphitheater is an open-air venue that is all lawn seating. Individuals are welcome to bring their own refreshments, blankets and chair
The first event of the season is held on Memorial Day weekend, and the final event takes place on Labor Day weekend. The Russell Lands On Lake Martin
Summer Concert Series climaxes with another jammin’ Labor Day Weekend concert.
Bring your friends, your kids, even your mom and enjoy the last big blowout of summer at THE AMP! For more on the Lake Martin Amphitheater and to see our upcoming events please visit lmat.org.
