Graduate Safety Practitioner® Designation
Applicants with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from Qualified Academic Programs (QAP) accredited by ABET-ASAC or AABI and/or evaluated by BCSP.
Path toward the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with waiver of the ASP exam.
No application fee, no work experience required. Achieve CSP with eligibility time period once
CSP experience requirement is met.
Associate Safety Professional® Certification Applicants with Bachelor’s in any field or
associate in safety, health or the environment or closely related field.
At least 1 year of experience where safety is at least 50%.
Pass ASP examination (200 Questions ) up to 5 hours.
Observe Code of Ethics. Meet recertification requirements (25 points
every 5 years).
Certified Safety Professional®
Minimum of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in any field or an Associate’s in safety, health, or the environment, or a closely related field.
4 years of safety experience, safety is at least 50%, preventative, professional level with breadth and depth of safety duties.
