Manual Station Overview

Manual Station

has up to 96 assignable I/O points, each point

connected to appropriate Opto in I/O Box

same layout as the I/O Box, four groups of 24

I/O, A to D

I/O 1 to 16 inclusive of each group A to D, havebuttons and LED, and can be for outputs or

inputs

I/O 17 to 24 inclusive of group A and B, have

LEDs only, and are normally used for inputs –

such as limit switches

I/O 17 to 24 inclusive of group C and D, have

no LED or button, and are used for inputs or

Manual Station Overview

The Manual Station  displays are configured and calibrated by using the SETUP/CALIB buttons

as per the EZ-CAL operation manual (Maintain Buttons)

The scale parameters must be known, and Manual Station setup before calibrating

The loadcells need to be correctly identified and connected before calibrating

The system performs loadcell checks both during calibration, and at 10 minute intervals thereafter

Once installed, ideally leave the Manual Station switched on

RTC Overview

Connections for each type RTC  –

Power  from a separate power supply unit, either integral to the ManualStation in the case of the Aaeon RTC, or as a Power Supply Modulefor the Lanner RTC

Network   use LAN2 port for the Lanner RTC, the LAN port for the Aaeon typeRTC. The RTC in either case can be part of the customer network,

or connect direct to the COMMANDbatch PC with its own NIC and acrossover cable

COM2  conventionally reserved for the serial connection to the ManualStation, but any of the serial ports can be assigned

COM1, 3, 4  used to interface items such as Remote Scale Displays

LPT1 or 2 rarely used, but can be utilised if two parallel printers are neededand the PC LPT1 port is in use. Can also be used for Spectrum v5conversions, where it connects to the phase V I/O box.

The system marks records that have been modified in some way (added, modified, deleted, etc.)by entering a code in the Record Number column of the grid.

The items that follow explain these modifications:

(d) indicates the record is being deleted. You will only see this code briefly whenyou confirm that you want to delete the record, then the code disappears.

(n) indicates that a new record is being added, but has not been saved.

(m) indicates that the record has been modified (edited), but not saved.

(e) indicates that the record contains one or more errors. You will not be able tosave the record before you correct the errors. Normally, a message explainsthe error(s) when you try to save a record with errors.

Records marked as modified:
