NMC VERTICAL BASKETBALL

NMC Vertical Basketball exists to introduce kids to the game of basketball and develop their skills within a Christ-centered environment. Our season’s schedule keeps your family in mind as kids will play 9 games during the season (Saturday and Thursday games). Children will experience a fun and encouraging environment every week as they improve their basketball skills and form relationships with other kids and their coach.

SEASON SCHEDULE

• Season runs from January 18–February 29

• Extended practice and coach meet-and-greet Jan. 18

• Teams will play 9 games during the season

• Games are played on Saturdays & Thursdays

• 1st & 2nd graders will play at Nappanee Elementary School

• 3rd & 4th graders will play at NMC

SKILLS EVALUATION

The Skills Evaluation covers fundamental basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense.

It’s critical that every participant attends the Skills Evaluation. It gives the leadership team a chance to assess all players in order to create balanced teams. The Skills Evaluation for all age groups takes place at NMC.

Parents, you are welcome to stay for your child’s Skills Evaluation. However, gym space will be limited to players and coaches. Parent seating will be available in the Grand Hall, where coffee and WiFi will be available.
