BASIC RIGHTS OREGON 2011 ANNUAL REPORT Dear friends, What an amazing time in the fight for equality. We are building a politically powerful movement for equality across Oregon - and across the U.S. We made historic strides in all three of our program areas last year, and we are already hard at work building on our successes. We’re busy travelling the state, but wanted to drop you a line to update you on the important work being done toward marriage equality, racial justice and transgender justice. 2012 is shaping up to be a politically divisive year. We need your continued support to maintain a presence across Oregon as we work to advance equality and counter efforts to divide communities. Please read about the accomplishments of the past year and keep in touch to be a part of our ongoing work. Yours in solidarity, Jeana Mail To: Supporters of Equality Everytown, Oregon Cover art by Ben Brown Jr.

Dear friends,

What an amazing time in the fight for equality. We are

building a politically powerful movement for equality across

Oregon - and across the U.S.

We made historic strides in all three of our program areas

last year, and we are already hard at work building on our

successes.

We’re busy travelling the state, but wanted to drop you a

line to update you on the important work being done toward

marriage equality, racial justice and transgender justice.

2012 is shaping up to be a politically divisive year. We need

your continued support to maintain a presence across

Oregon as we work to advance equality and counter efforts

to divide communities.

Please read about the accomplishments of the past year

and keep in touch to be a part of our ongoing work.

Yours in solidarity,

Jeana

FOR MaRRiage equalityThe priorities of our Trans Justice program are set by a volunteer Working Group of community leaders. In 2011, Oregon became the first state with two municipalities providing trans-inclusive health care (Portland and Multnomah County). In 2012, we are working with businesses and municipalities across the state to remove barriers to medically-necessary, gender-affirming health care.
