Taking off the wheels Sometimes ,you will need to remove the front wheel of your bicycle:

1. Disconnect the brake system.If you have a disc system ,don´t use the handle after you remove the front wheel.

2. Loosen the nuts on the front axle. If your front wheel has got quick release system, turn the lever.

3. Lift the front of the bicycle and the front wheel should fall out 4. If you need to remove the back wheel select the highest gear,the chain be on

the smallest sprocket.Then remove the chain and take off the back wheel

Changing an inner tube1. Deflate the inner tube completely 2. Lift up one edge of the tyre ,starting with the valve ,using tyre levers3. Leave the tyre on the rim and remove the inner tube4. Check the rim and the tyre for any sharp objects 5. Partially inflate the new inner tube and put it inside the tyre. Start with the

valve6. Put the tyre back on the rim.7. Make the valve in the correct position. Inflate the inner tube ,put the wheel

back on the bicycle.

Rethreading the chain To put the chain back onto the chain wheels:

1. Put the chain on the lower part of the smallest sprocket2. Lift the back wheel and pedal backward. Thread the chain onto the sprocket 3. Pedal forward until the chain is completely connected to the gear wheel

WHENEVER YOU USE YOUR BIKE:

● Check tyres and air pressure. You might have a flat or a slow leak.● Check your brakes. They ensure your safety of the other people ● Check the lubrication of the chains and gears. In wet areas or in summer , the

parts can rust or rub produce friction and ecentually break

Every month ,if you use your bike regularly:● Check the cables ● Check the air pressure of tyres.The proper pressure is printed on the side of

tyre .You should carry an air pump and a repair kit● Check the chain wheels and sprockets.● Check the lubrication of all the moving parts and all the places where there is

friction ● If your bicycle has got an air or hydraulic suspension system ,you should

check the suspension pressure● Check the tyres for any problems● There should be all the nuts and bolts on your bicycle ● Check if in the frame are there any cracks or stress marks.

And the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to keep your bicycle clean
