Hand tools- a tool held in the hand and operated without electricity or other power.

Wrench

A double-ended tool with one end being like an open-end wrench or open-ended spanner, and the other end being like a box-end wrench or ring spanner. Both ends generally fit the same size of bolt.

Screwdrivers

a tool with a flattened, cross-shaped, or star-shaped tip that fits into the head of a screw to turn it.

Types of Screwdriver

1. Standard screwdriver- with flat blade tips and in a variety of sizes are used. Special screws with cross-shaped slots in their heads require a special screwdriver with a blade tip that fits the slots.

2. Philips Screwdriver a screw head having two partial slots crossed at right angles, driven by a special screwdriver.

Pliers

Pincers with parallel, flat, and typically serrated surfaces, used chiefly for gripping small objects or bending wire.

Types of Pliers Long nose

pliers having tapered ends, for working in a small spaceor with a small object.

Locking pliers, Mole grips (Mole wrench) or Vise-Grips are pliers that can be locked into position, using an over-center action.

Hammer

a tool with a heavy metal head mounted at right angles at the end of a handle, used for jobs such as breaking things and driving in nails.

Ball peen hammer also known as a machinist's hammer, is used in metalworking.

Rubber Mallet is a kind of hammer, often made of rubber or sometimes wood, that is smaller than a maul or beetle and usually with a relatively large head.

Cutting tools

a cutting tool (or cutter) is any tool that is used to remove material from the work piece by means of shear deformation. Cutting may be accomplished by single-point or multipoint tools.

Hacksaw

A hacksaw is a fine-toothed saw, originally and principally for cutting metal.

Rip cut saw A rip cut saw is an aggressive, push stroke handsaw with

sharpened teeth top. Its saw length varies from 60 to 70 cm with 5 to 7 teeth per inches.

Key hole saw

Also known as compass saw, a keyhole saw is perfect in cutting holes in wood and curves. Its blades are mounted on handle that is made of metal, wood or plastic and shaped like that of a hand gun. Keyhole saws have a cross tooth pattern with 10 to 12 teeth per inch. It is a push stroke handsaw.

Cross cut saw A cross cut saw has wide alternating bevel teeth perfect for rough

cutting on wood grains where tearing out is not important.
